The 57th Asia Pacific Film Festival was held in Phnom Penh

On the evening of July 30, 2017, the 57th Asia Pacific Film Festival red carpet ceremony and award ceremony was held in the Garden City Hotel in Phnom Penh, the capital of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Representatives and movie stars from nearly 20 Asia Pacific regions, H.Chea Chan Boribo, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Public Information of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Chairman of the Alliance of Asia Pacific Film Producers Yeo Shiyan and Vice Chairman Pansha, Chairman of the 57th Asia Pacific Film Festival Preparatory Committee Chang Goosen and Vice Chairman Mariam Arthur and others witnessed. The winner went to Indonesian actor Reza Rahadian and Russian Yulia Peresild. Bangladeshi film Unnamed won Best Film. China's founding Father Sihanouk and King Sihamoni were honored with The "Extraordinary Contribution Directing Award" and the "Extraordinary Contribution Performance Award", while famous first class actress Dy Saveth and "The Last Reel" won the "Legendary Achievement Award" and "Best Screenplay Award" respectively.

The red carpet event was a rare treat, with a star-studded crowd gathered to watch. There are also many Cambodian and international male and female celebrities wearing different styles of brand clothes to show a variety of attractive customs, together with the degree of glamour, just like one fashion show after another. Best Sound -- "Anyway The Wind Blows" (Japan)

Best Music: "Rudt Habibie" (Indonesia)

Best Art Direction: Anelia, Australia

Best Short Film -- "Lay My Bed in the Room" (Iran)

The Asia Pacific Film Festival is an annual event of the Alliance of Asia Pacific Film Producers. It is the only international film festival in the Asia Pacific region. With a history of more than 60 years, the film festival is held in 25 different countries and regions. The Asia Pacific Film Festival has the function of expanding people-to-people diplomacy, culture, art, education, tourism, economic and trade exchanges. It is an important event of film art exchange and film talent training with a long history and certain influence in the film industry of Asia and the Pacific region. The Alliance of Asian Pacific Film Producers held the first Asia Pacific Film Festival in Tokyo, Japan in 1954. Since then, members of the organization have held film festivals and awards in turn in each region for 64 years. This year, the 57th Asia-Pacific Film Festival is held in Phnom Penh, allowing Cambodia's film industry to showcase its creative strength to the world. In addition, it also allows Cambodia to show its dedication and ability in the world film art.

The Federation of Motion Picture Producers in Asia-Pacific (Federation of Motion Picture Producers in Asia-Pacific) is a non-governmental, non-profit Asia-Pacific film and television non-governmental academic research group founded in 1954 by Mr. Run Run Shaw, a famous patriot. Its members are film and television cultural societies in cities in the Asia-Pacific region. The Alliance now has 22 member cities, including Phnom Penh, Bangkok, Mumbai, Hanoi, Hong Kong, Macau, Taipei, Beijing, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Kuwait, Yangon, Manila, Moscow, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney, Dhaka, Karachi, Tehran, Tokyo and Wellington. In December 2016, it joined Ulaanbaatar, Kathmandu and Colombo as observers, and was promoted to member city in 2017.
